DAV Auxiliary National Commander Darlene Spence is scheduled to deliver the Auxiliary national commander’s annual testimonial at a dinner April 15 at The Buckhorn Saloon and Museum, 318 E. Houston St., San Antonio, Texas 78205. Transportation will be provided.
Rooms can be reserved at the Emily Morgan Hotel under the DAV Auxiliary event block at the special rate of $199 per night (plus applicable taxes) by contacting the hotel at 210-225-5100. Make sure to mention DAV Auxiliary to receive the discounted rate. The cutoff date to make reservations is March 28. The block will fill up fast, so please make reservations as soon as possible.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. with a social meet-and-greet with a host bar. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Cost for the dinner is $67 per person and will include barbecue brisket and smoked barbecue chicken, borracho beans, Rose’s homemade potato salad, creamy coleslaw and peach cobbler.
There will also be an outing on Friday, April 14, to the Fredericksburg Pioneer Museum and National Museum of the Pacific War. Cost is $40 per person (lunch not included). Casual attire at all events.
