Seventy-three years ago today, the gunfire of the Korean War fell silent. Often called “The Forgotten War,” the conflict ended on July 27, 1953, after three years of brutal fighting and immense sacrifice. More than 1.7 million Americans served in Korea. Thousands never made it home.
Today, DAV recognizes and honors the veterans who endured freezing winters, impossible conditions and fierce combat in defense of freedom. Their service and sacrifices are not forgotten.

Our nation is capable of keeping its promises to today's combat-disabled veterans without breaking promises made to yesterday's veterans. Congress shouldn't fund new benefits by reducing earned ones. Remove Section 108 from the Take Care of America's Veterans Act.
