Sample Email Meeting Request

Subject Line:

Request for Meeting with DAV (Disabled American Veterans)

Text of Email Invitation:

Hello, my name is [replace with your name] and I’m the [replace with your position] for DAV [fill in department or chapter]. As you may know, DAV is a nonprofit charity that provides a lifetime of support for veterans of all generations and their families, helping more than 1 million veterans in positive, life-changing ways each year.

On behalf of myself and a few DAV colleagues, I’m writing to request a meeting with [fill in with name of candidate or office holder] or a member of the campaign team to discuss critical issues facing America’s veterans.

Earlier this year, DAV released our Vision for Veterans, establishing seven priority issues ahead of the 2020 elections to help presidential and congressional candidates, as well as current lawmakers, understand the critical challenges facing the veterans community. Vision for Veterans also offers a series of concrete solutions to address these challenges.

We would like the opportunity to discuss our Vision for Veterans policy agenda with you and would greatly appreciate you responding back to this email or calling me at [replace with your preferred phone number].

We would be happy to work with you to arrange a meeting, either in person when conditions permit, through a virtual meeting platform or on a conference call.

To learn more about DAV, you can go to uat.dav.org, or watch this short video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VsoRWCANFyk

Thank you for considering our request and we look forward to talking soon.

Respectfully,
