This Giving Tuesday CHOOSE VETERANS

Why DAV?

DAV’s mission has always been to provide a lifetime of support to veterans of all generations, their families and their survivors at no cost. Since DAV does not receive federal funding, we would not be able to assist our nation’s heroes without the generosity of caring individuals who share our mission of supporting those who have sacrificed so much to protect our freedoms.

Reasons to Give

Giving Tuesday is a special day for our community to say “thank you” to those who have been ill and injured during their time in service. For over 100 years, DAV has provided life-changing services to our nation’s heroes. To keep these services cost-free, we rely on our generous supporters! By donating this Giving Tuesday, your gift will go towards sustaining critical DAV programs such as benefits advocacy, employment, caregiver support and so much more!

Benefits Advocacy

Service to veterans is at the core of everything we do. DAV benefits advocates stand ready to assist veterans with their VA claims to get the benefits they’ve earned.

Employment & Entrepreneurship

DAV sponsors in-person job fairs and virtual events to connect veterans with employment opportunities and even empowers them to start their own companies.

Advocacy

For over 100 years, DAV has been a leader in advocating for veterans on Capitol Hill and getting legislation enacted that protects our nation’s heroes.

Voluntarism

DAV offers a wide range of opportunities to assist our nation’s heroes. You can volunteer to transport veterans to and from their VA medical appointments, help at a VA facility or assist veterans in your local community. DAV also offers scholarships to volunteers age 21 or younger who have contributed a minimum of 100 hours credited through DAV or DAV Auxiliary.

Disaster Relief

Among DAV’s life-changing programs and services to support America’s veterans is disaster relief. When natural disaster strikes, DAV steps in to help by supplying financial support and emergency kits to those in need.

Caregiver Support

DAV Caregivers Support provides tailored support and resources to friends, family members and loved ones who provide care to those who served. This program is also available to veterans who are, themselves, caregivers of a loved one.

Just B Kids

In partnership with DAV and Golden Corral, the program provides free, one-of-a-kind summer camp experiences for children of wounded, disabled or fallen military service members and veterans.

Women Veterans Support

DAV continues to fight for equal access to benefits and quality health care for women veterans through legislation, policy and education.
