The Phoenix veterans community demonstrated strong local engagement recently by organizing a successful street cleanup, collecting 12 bags of around the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center in the city. This community beautification effort brought together over 20 volunteers, including veterans, their families and dedicated partners.
The initiative was supported by DAV Chapter 1 in Phoenix, led by Chapter Adjutant Michael Koenig. This event underscores the commitment of the VA medical center’s employees, volunteers and partners to not only provide essential health services but also to actively foster a clean and supportive environment for the veteran community.
