The good simply DOES NOT outweigh the bad when it comes to the Take Care of America’s Veterans Act. The bill would cut up to $57 billion in future disability compensation for 1.5 million veterans but provides only $7.9 billion in new VA benefits, just 14%. That’s a terrible deal for disabled veterans!
DAV rejects the idea that Congress must strip benefits from one group of veterans to “pay for” new benefits for another. Call the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121 and tell your Representative to vote “NO” on H.R. 9237, the Take Care of America's Veterans Act.
